Jodee Mundy

Performing Artist, Director

Jodee is a creative director and performer. A company member with Polyglot Theatre since 2008, she has performed in We Built This City (United Kingdom, Taiwan, Japan), Tangle (Korea, Singapore, United Kingdom), Paper Planet (China), Ants (Brazil), Muckheap (Victoria, Australia, both the Auslan and English versions), and The Great Australian Dream, Drawbridge, Bellbird in Melbourne. She also directed World Within for the company, which was created at Furlong Park School for the Deaf.

Jodee’s independent theatre credits includes: Imagined Touch (Arts House/Sydney Festival), and The Carers Project: A sanctuary in the city. Her work Personal premiered in 2018.

She has also worked with Back to Back Theatre, Snuff Puppets, The Village Festival, St Martins Youth Arts Centre, The Last Tuesday Society, The CollaborAgents at Brisbane Festival/White Night Melbourne, Mainteater and Strange Fruit.

Jodee received the Green Room Award for Innovation in Experiential Theatre for Imagined Touch in 2017. She has also been the recipient of the Australia Council for the Arts Structured Mentorship in Community Partnerships, and a Melbourne Fringe Award and a Green Room Award Nomination for Innovation of Form for performing in Mainteater’s Happy 1000 1000 Bahagia.

Jodee trained at Ecole De Mime Corporeal Dramatique in France, and in Animateuring at the Victorian College of the Arts. She is a peer member of the Australia Council for the Arts and Creative Victoria.
