Freya is an early career producer and performance maker.
Freya most recently acted as an Associate Producer at Bureau of Works and Assistant Producer at Kath Papas Productions. Freya has been a production assistant for Finucane & Smith, working on ‘The Rapture: Arts Vs Extinction’ (fortyfivedownstairs, 2019) and the launch of Ray Dimikarri Dixon’s debut solo album ‘Standing Strong’. From 2017-18 Freya sat on the University of Melbourne Theatreboard and in 2018, she was the co-office bearer of the Creative Arts Department at the University of Melbourne Student Union. Freya also maintains an independent production portfolio collaborating with emerging and established artists.
Her performance work includes the endurance performance art piece, The 24 Hour Dance Project (Melbourne Fringe Festival, 2018; The Village Falls Festival, 2018/19), A Dog Called Monkey (Northcote Town Hall, 2017) and between here and when I tell you (Union House Theatre & Dirty Laundry Collective, 2020).
Working across theatre, dance, and film, Freya’s practice is focused on creating and facilitating bold and engaging new work. Freya is also committed to forwarding discussions about safe practices and wellbeing within the arts industry.
