Rainbow Sweeny


With over 15 years professional experience, Rainbow has worked to deliver a broad range of arts projects.

Before commencing in the role of Producer with Polyglot Theatre, Rainbow was engaged as a contract production and project manager contributing to the development of many of the company’s new works as well as touring nationally and internationally with the Polyglot repertoire. 

Prior to, and alongside her contract work with Polyglot, Rainbow collaborated with organisations including Black Arm Band, Chamber Made Opera, The Inhibitors, Secret Chord Productions, Lemony S Puppet Theatre, Ridiculusmus, Triage Live Art Collective, St Martins Youth Arts, JOF, Jodee Mundy Collaborations, Melbourne Music Week, City of Moreland, Centenary of ANZAC, Australian Centre for the Moving Image, Regional Arts Victoria, Multicultural Arts Victoria and White Night Melbourne. She has presented works for Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide Festivals and managed extensive national and international touring programs for numerous companies.

A senior Creative with the Creature Technology Company for six years, Rainbow collaborated on the design and realization of international touring productions Walking With Dinosaurs – The Live Experience, How To Train Your Dragon – The Arena Spectacular and the design and pre-production phase of King Kong – Live on Stage.

In addition to her producing and management experience, Rainbow is an accomplished theatre designer, her work having attracted several Green Room Award nominations and wins.

Rainbow is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts – Theatre Production.
