How High the Sky premieres internationally in Macau and Hong Kong during July to sold out seasons.
It is an unforgettable theatre experience for adults and their pre-walking babies.
Babies and one of their adults are immersed inside the performance space. Outside looking in, sit another audience of family and friends.
In a quiet cushioned space, using helium balloons, lighting and sound, a shifting world is created to capture the attention of the babies. Artists create evocative scenes that draw upon the senses in a dynamic, joyous and profoundly affecting experience for young and old. How High The Sky is a theatrical event for three circles of audience – the babies, their adults and the spectators. Devised over a long workshop period with babies and adults, the performance explores the proposition ‘Is it possible for adults to experience the world as babies do?’ The performance provides both a special glimpse of a world just experienced, or one that has been recently forgotten.
