We tour to Berlin in April for the premiere of Paper Planet at Fratz Festival in Germany!
One of Polyglot’s best loved works, Paper Planet is a giant installation of cardboard trees where a new world is created by children’s imagination and energy. Using only tape and paper and an ambient atmosphere created through sound and lighting children create a paper world of trees, creatures and costumes, with all the complexity and chaos only children can dare to create.
The Fratz Festival is a festival in Berlin especially dedicated to theatre experiences for pre-school children. It is hosted by Theatre O.N. a well-respected theatre company making and touring theatre work for children.
Ahead of this premiere Polyglot Theatre’s Artistic Director Sue Giles will host masterclass workshops with artists and delegates of the festival showcasing Polyglot’s unique child led artistic approaches to creating theatre experiences, a method for which Polyglot is internationally renowned. Giles will also be attending the ASSITEJ (Association of International Theatre for Children and Young People) Executive Committee meeting, concurrently hosted by the Augenblick-Mal! Festival, also in Berlin.
