Polyglot is inviting EOIs from experienced Stage and Production Managers

Polyglot Theatre is inviting expressions of interest from experienced Stage and Production Managers for future opportunities.

Polyglot Theatre is Australia’s leading creator of interactive and participatory theatre for children and families. From our home-base in Melbourne, we develop work with local kids and Australia’s leading independent artists which we then present around Australia and around the world. Over the last few years, our work has been presented in the United States of America, South Korea, Singapore, China, New Zealand and Abu Dhabi. We also work extensively in Melbourne, regional Victoria and nationally with works ranging from small workshops to large public space installations.

We are seeking to grow our pool of Stage and Production Managers for future opportunities to work with us on touring, creative developments, new productions and community projects.

To be a good fit for Polyglot, you will:

  • Be an experienced production all-rounder, with expertise across lighting, sound, staging, stage management and tour management;
  • Have at least three years of professional experience, including extensive regional, national and/or international touring;
  • Be an outstanding and mature communicator, with awareness of cultural differences in approaches to communication;
  • Have great problem-solving ability, a sense of humour, and ability to stay cool in a crisis;
  • Enjoy working in both outdoor environments and theatres, often surrounded by children!
  • Have a driver’s licence and a Working with Children Check (or be able to obtain one).

Please send a CV and one-page cover letter outlining your interest in working with Polyglot to info@polyglot.org.au by Friday 7 September, 2018.

We will arrange interviews as opportunities arise throughout the year.
