With your support, Polyglot will be developing a new theatre work for pre-school aged children and their adults – Cerita Anak (Child’s Story).
For a limited time, all increased and new donations to Polyglot’s Double Your Love for Children’s Theatre appeal in support of Cerita Anak will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to a grand total of $30,000, with thanks to Creative Partnerships Australia through Plus1.
In 2016 we will collaborate with children from Dinjerra Primary School in Melbourne’s outer west and Indonesia’s acclaimed Papermoon Puppet Theatre to develop Cerita Anak.
Working across the different art forms of interaction and puppetry, Cerita Anak places children at the heart of the action, story and atmosphere. Audiences will participate in an experience of immigration and adventure from the perspective of children as real-life stories are reinvented with Polyglot’s signature play and imagination, along with Papermoon’s exquisite imagery.
Now is a great time to donate to Polyglot! New and increased donations of $50 are matched to $100, $250 is matched to $500 and $1,000 is matched to $2,000!
Tax deductible donations to this appeal will enable Polyglot to develop Cerita Anak as new repertoire for national and international touring.
In 2016 we will:
