Acknowledgment of country

Polyglot acknowledges that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live and create, and we pay our respects to Elders past and present. For more than 65,000 years, children and families have created and played here, and we are grateful to make our art on this country too.

Balloons and Heartbeats

I’ll never forget taking my eight month old baby to see ‘How High The Sky’ at Arts Centre Melbourne. From listening to his little heart beating through a stethoscope and being returned to listening for the heart during ultrasound check ups, to watching him be so extraordinarily keen to reach a balloon that he crawled for the first time (!) watching my son experience a beautiful journey was profoundly wonderful and set a new direction for my own artistic practice. Thank you Polyglot for this (and many many more) precious memories!
