Acknowledgment of country

Polyglot acknowledges that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live and create, and we pay our respects to Elders past and present. For more than 65,000 years, children and families have created and played here, and we are grateful to make our art on this country too.

My first gig with Polyglot

My first gig with Polyglot was working as a maker assisting with the making and maintenance of props and sets for The Little Prince in 1997. I recall walking into the Cromwell Road theatre and meeting Ken the set designer, and Mischa Long, a performer, who I would later work with on a number of gigs touring Australia and overseas over the next 20 years and still going. We began at Polyglot working in a traditional theatre indoors with puppets performing for children, and evolved to performing often outdoors creating work with children by 2018.
